British Chambers of Commerce
The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) is a dynamic, high profile and independent business network, with Chambers across the UK. Local Chambers sit at the heart of the community, working with businesses of all sizes and representing all sectors. British Chambers regularly hold meetings with the Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers and the Chancellor of Exchequer on key issues and challenges facing the UK economy, furthering the opportunity that Chambers across the UK, and particularly Plymouth, have in influencing policy decisions to support local businesses.
The British Chambers’ Quarterly Economic Survey is used by national bodies, including the government to form opinions on the status of the economy. Through Devon Chamber’s accredited membership to BCC we are able to bring our members insights and results of these surveys to aid business planning and inform our lobbying.
BCC’s mission is to make the Chamber network an essential part of growing business; they do this by sharing opportunities, knowledge and expertise.
As an accredited member of British Chambers of Commerce, Devon Chamber has a stronger position when it comes to lobbying, addressing business issues and offering further benefits to its members. There are 53 Chambers of Commerce in the Accredited Network.
