The Plymouth Area Business Council (PABC) is the economic development policy advisory body of the Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber) for the Plymouth city area (including Plymouth travel to work area).
The PABC was originally formed as the Plymouth Economic Development Group (PEDG) in February 1999 and now consists of approximately 350 senior individual key sector leaders.
The progressive development of a partnership culture in our City and the Economic sub-region has required increasing input from the private sector. Therefore, the PABC considers all major economic issues and may, as appropriate, express a private or public view aiming always for that to be a consensus

The PABC provides a platform for key sector business leaders to inform and influence strategic and economic development issues, while promoting understanding, cooperation and partnerships across the private, public and third sectors.
